It fell into obscurity for centuries, but Cruchaudet has tenderly revived this gentle spice, blending green, red, white, and black long peppercorns to capture a full spectrum of soft warmth.
Unlike round pepper’s sharp bite, long pepper offers a slower, kinder heat. On taste, the mix is soft and soothing. The elongated catkins crackle lightly between the teeth, releasing layered aromas: sweet cinnamon, nutmeg, dried fruits, and a whisper of ginger.
